Navigating Life's Challenges With Compassion & Care
I believe in giving individuals a voice and providing a safe space to express themselves. My approach is client and family centered, focusing on helping family members adapt to new patterns that encourage better communication, problem-solving, and improve connections. My specialties are in the areas of child and adult transitions, parenting, relationship challenges and clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD.
I now offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted-Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. KAP is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a compliment psychotherapy to help eligible clients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvements in symptoms. I take on the psychotherapy part of the experience while Journey Clinical's medical team supports you with all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring the outcomes.
My past experiences provide me with the capability to navigate and work with complex systems such as school IEP's, 504 plans and children and families involved in the child welfare and foster care system. My intensive clinical training and therapeutic skills help many people navigate through life's inherent up and downs, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Coping Skills Development with a Solution-Focused approach.
I have years of experience in treating and diagnosing children and adults with behavioral struggles both as a clinical therapist and a Senior Director over seeing programs for the Office of Mental Health, Addiction and School Based Services.
